Sharing this information is a part of the job for us as the life of our clients sod is just as important to us as it is for them. Here we outline some key elements of care that need to be provided to ensure the best maintained lawn that meets the perfect presentation ideals you have for your property.
SOD Fertilizing
Fertilizing your sod is in very short terms, providing your lawn with the food and nutrients it needs to grow strong and healthy. This step is exceptionally important to ensure that your lawn has a long and prosperous life, which is what we are all looking to achieve. The timings of fertilizing is important and can vary dependent on a range of factors such as location, type of sod, weather conditions and other variables. Our team understand the requirements of sod and will be able to provide our clients with the correct advice specific to the sod at their property.
SOD Watering
As with any plant, it is important to be providing your lawn with enough water to ensure it is well hydrated. Too much water can potentially risk your lawn drowning, which is why it is so important to get proper care instructions from the industry professionals. We are able to provide our clients with watering guidelines which will change throughout the years as the seasons and age of the sod increases. This is also a service we are able to provide you with when we attend for maintenance visits that include fertilizing and trimming.
Lawn Trimming
A part of keeping your lawn looking its best and being the envy of your neighbors is to ensure that it is well kept and does not become overgrown. Again as with watering it is important that you do not over trim your lawn as that would pose its own risks, but it is important that it does not become overgrown and unkempt. Our team are able to provide you with trimming services on maintenance visits to ensure your lawn is well cared for and the correct care methods are taken to ensure the long life of your lawn.
Drought Management
Drought has always been something that has caused trouble for lawns, but with the changing climate the risk of drought damaging your lawn will increase. There are options for the installation of drought resistant sod, however if you opt to install a regular sod, there are steps we can take to ensure the risk is mitigated. Our team of professionals are able to identify signs of stress in your lawn and provide care for it accordingly.
